Rochester Immediate Care

In January of 2010, Buffalo-based Exigence Group LLC chief marketing officer Claire Jones was preparing for the company's first foray into the Rochester, NY market with a new Immediate Care facility and medical service to be located in the Rochester suburb of Greece...and subsequently in Webster and in Henrietta.

In need of expert public relations support for publicity and media relations, community sponsorships, special events and the related activities that make for a successful launch ...well, you know who she found!

Bob's responsibilities on the project included the following:

  • researching and compiling mailing lists of the area leaders RIC needed to reach

  • writing the customized letters and other materials that introduced RIC and invited leaders to the VIP event

  • preparing a news media campaign and writing all news releases and other press materials (such as talking points for key spokespersons) and then cultivating the reporters, editors and producers for news coverage

  • writing Rochester-specific radio spots, then securing voice talent and Markethold Productions to record them, and enlisting Sundance Marketing to execute the media buy

  • securing a photographer, a caterer and related vendors for an on-site VIP ribbon-cutting event

  • scripting the VIP event and securing VIP speakers & elected officials

  • researching and securing sponsorship and underwriting opportunities with community groups and schools

Subsequently, Bob now works with Exigence Group leaders to publicize and promote all their Immediate Care  facilities, including those in Rochester and Buffalo, NY and Austin, Texas
